Title: Strengthen Vietnam's capacity to implement their responsibilities for GHG MRV in the livestock sector

The longer-term purpose of the collaboration is to enable Ministry for Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) and other sector stakeholders to identify, plan and implement measures that meet national objectives for livestock development and GHG mitigation in line with Viet Nam’s NDC. The specific objective is to strengthen the capacity of MARD and other sector stakeholders to implement their responsibilities for GHG measurement, reporting and verification in the livestock sector. This project will deliver:
• provision of GHG measurement equipment
• training on GHG measurement equipment
• development of regionally relevant enteric methane conversion factors (Ym) and manure management CH4 and N2O emission factors
• training to confirm the independent in-country technical capability
